Carolina Seals, Inc. was founded is 1987 when Wayne Motley Sr. became a Direct Distributor for Five Star Seal Corporation. Carolina Seals quickly became one of Five Star's top distributors. In 1994 BW/IP (Borg-Warner) purchased the assets of Five Star Seal Corporation and Carolina Seals became the authorized distributor of BW/IP's product line. In 1998 BW/IP and The Duriron Pump Company merged forming Flowserve Corporation. Carolina Seals is currently Flowserve's distributor for their Fluid Sealing Division. With territories in both North and South Carolina, Carolina Seals is a stocking distributor of Durametallic, BW/IP, Five Star Seals, Pac-Seals and Pacific Wietz brand mechanical seals.
